With a new Labour government set to enter 10 Downing Street, we are expecting lots of change over the next few months:

  • A universal national minimum wage rate for all ages
  • A ‘Fair Work Agency’ who will actively enforce employees rights
  • Flexible working the from day one for all workers, except where it is not reasonably feasible.
  • Updates to trade union legislation
  • Banning certain zero hours contracts and introducing a 12-week reference period.
  • Ending fire and rehire

SD Worx PALS team will be keeping track of any changes to legislation and updating our knowledge areas. Here is a reminder of where to look:

Our Legislation Guides on PayHR – Where we cover new laws introduced by parliament to help employers run their payroll consistently and compliantly.

Academy – Our home for free and paid webinars. Look out for our budget update in the next few months.

Simon Says – This is our new service where you can ask any question based on payroll and employment legislation. The best questions will be hand selected by our in-house experts and posted on our website with an answer. Don’t worry, any personal or company information will be removed before posting.
