At the HMRC Collection of Student Loan (CSL) consultation group,held on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 the following was shared.
If has been confirmed that the student Plan Type 4 (Scotland) threshold applicable from 6th April 2026, this information will be additionaly announced at a later point by the Scottish Parliament who have confirmed that there is no restriction in sharing the information now.
The threshold is to rise to:
£33,795
The remaining values to be confirmed relate to Plan 2 and the Postgraduate Threshold.
The postgraduate repayment threshold has remained frozen for a number of years, however, it is indicated that proposals have been made for a rise to this threshold also (but subject to confirmation).
Student loan thresholds and percentage deductions values are maintained within the SD Worx solution centrally by developments overseen by our UK Knowledge Centre. No action is required on the part of the user base as the application is automatic.
